Pastor Dorian Gray, Greater Twelfth Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio

Rev. Dorian Ray Grant, will be the speaker for our Annual Men and Women's Day Kick-off to be held Sunday, March 18, 2012.   Rev. Grant was born in Columbus, Ohio.  Raised by his mother, Charlene Grant, he attended the Greater Twelfth Baptist Church along with his sister, Kenya Grant, his Grandparents, Charlie and Theodora Sanders, and many relatives and friends.  Throughout his school years, he lived in different parts of the country with his sister and mother.  However, regardless of where Reverend Grant lived, his heart remained tied to Columbus, Ohio and The Greater Twelfth Baptist Church.  After graduating high school he quickly found his way back to Columbus, and Greater Twelfth.  Whenever the enemy pressed down on him, he headed to the church.  During this time he was not aware of the preparations he was undergoing and where God was leading him.
The Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings.  Isaiah 61:1

I am committed to developing devoted disciples of Jesus Christ by spending time with people, both young and old, modeling a God fearing and God honoring lifestyle before them, and equipping them with the word of God; communicating the good news about Jesus Christ and cultivating personal growth in Him, one step at a time.

I seek to be a disciple of Jesus Christ in every aspect of my life and grow in my daily relationship with Him through systematic Bible study, prayer, and continuous education.  I knew the love of God early in my childhood, having been baptized at the Greater Twelfth Baptist Church and having participated in the various church activities, yet, it was not until after my high school years and my deliverance through personal trials that I began to understand what a personal commitment to the Lord really meant.

The Lord called me to serve His ministry in my late twenties.  Since then I have sought His will for all I do in life.  My desire in ministry is to use my gifts and talents to further the gospel of Christ, and to serve along side Christian men and women of God.  Though young in the ministry, my personal relationship with Jesus Christ is very strong and is growing daily.
